Too dark for photos of the offshore wind farm at Gunfleet Sands in Clacton but took these shots of the inshore wind turbines that have just sprung up in Clacton .
They were taken about an hour ago whilst there was still a bit of light left

Not the greatest of backgrounds I must say but hey ho, (rather see wave power being used tbh)

That was brave dipping her toes in last month as it was flipping freezing
Seems to have only just hotted up the last week. Not going to last though
P.s you can see the same wind farm off Gunfleet sands in my sig/pic!

Is looking out to sea at windmills worse than looking out to sea at, erm.. Nothing really?

I'm getting used to our offshore wind farm

I think the ones they have just erected (five of them) in the field next to a new housing estate thats been built look quite pretty really.
The new build estate has just been put up as part of a scheme to assist people to move to the coast from the East End of London. This was put in place because of the land grab for the Olympic Village.
I believe part of the reason this scheme got passed was to make sure the new estate offset it's carbon footprint.
