I think we agree there and i have pointed it out to him and politely given my regards.
Its certainly not my wish to be arguing with anyone im here for quite the opposite but we are not all ' in the trade' and to un uninitiated customer an unlock licence and sticker is one thing but an upgrade really is an upgrade. Thanks for seeing my point. Mas

I knew nothing of any disk. The post said get it from an xpart garage , i mailed one and was a little miffed to be quoted 168 pounds
I wont bore you with why but im fairly tech savvy and as soon as disc and unlock key were mentioned i of course realised exactly what is being done here. I am used to pay a fixed price and a chap remaps your car , no unlock keys or discs But i realise the xpower 'unlock' is another matter. Like i said it matters not all is now clear and i'd al.ost certainly take a different route Cheers

Hi,
Sorry for any confusion. I have asked a mod to edit that post to say " Please note - This does not include programming. Please check with your local dealer as labour rates may vary"

If ECP sell you brake discs for £100, would you complain you then have to go and pay someone to fit them? |

You don't need a special tool to fit the brakes though! You do with the official upgrade.

Re the above poster lets not get silly here
Brake pads are a spare part an ecu upgrade is a very different matter as we all know. Lets put it this way if I pay for a 24000 mile service I dont expect them to dump air oil and filter on my doorstep and ask me to do the installation , does that make the stance any clearer All has been put right and no one has been injured
