Seen this seller before, tends to talk up the cars he has for sale somewhat. It won't be the first time i've seen the Phoenix card played.

Recently saw an identically spec'd car including belts done etc for sale in the Manchester area at £875, makes you think!

This means that 10043 75's and ZT's left the production line after this ZT.

As the 75 and ZT were produced on the same production line it means that this ZT was produced before 2005.

Production for 2005

5439 Rover 75
1870 MG ZT.

Also the fraud squad didn't get called into the MG Rover debacle until much later [after administration] and the last day of production at Longbridge was the 11th April 2005.

Also this ZT would have been sold by JCT600 Wakefield not Leeds.

A small point but as with many other so-called facts in the blurb, incorrect.

Dave T

That one ( 345151 ) was actually built 09/11/2004.

Yes he talks his cars up but he does a element of research, which is refreshing compared to most ebay trade sellers and it seems to of worked in this instance.

Always thought going the extra mile in a traders ebay ad really does make a difference........

Price does seem high though but what do i know

Regards

Mark

When I contacted him about this he wanted £2500 cash plus my ZT :O
I didn't bother ringing him back.

It's a nice example with plenty of kit but it's not worth that.

I sold my mint 04 190 SE 2 years ago with exactly the same spec and 20k less on the clock for £2400.

I'm on the look out for another 190 SE but I wouldn't pay a penny over 2k for this car because its not worth any more than that, no matter how much the advert 'bigs' it up.

They ain't gone up in price!

And as for the advert, I think a car advert should be like a CV, concise and to the point. This is just unneccesary waffle in my opinion.

My real MG is an increasingly rare automatic, I bought it from a young man who was wheel chair bound. He was not able to drive a manual.

I am increasingly suffering with an arthritic hip and may, very reluctantly, have to part with my manual ZT. An MG 180 Sports Auto is the only car I would replace it with.
I'm desperate for a ZT CDTI auto. Love the ZT looks (hence why I have one) but I hate driving manual cars especially in traffic. Now if I can find an MG like the one in this ebay listing but in diesel form im there with bells on!!

Thanks. I've a CT scan in a couple of weeks and looking to have it replaced perhaps. Trouble is it's as a result of a serious RTA so not sure if they'll be able to do it.

TBH I'd be gutted if I had to get rid of my ZT, partially because it's one of the last - 06 plate.

Best of luck with the Auto CDTI search Bigcul1. Sure there's one out there with your name on it.

Sorry mods slightly off-topic.

Oops I've started posting here again.
