Don't worry I only mentioned that 105 posts ago but the relaunch still seems to be happening

I have just read this thread through. Some bits had me in stitches but honestly? I feel a little sad for the OP.

He has a love for the car and a drive to want to succeed but has little idea behind it.

Bigger companies have tried and failed. The Chinese are not exactly setting the world alight in the UK with the MG brand and yet a father and son combo are giving it a go.

Small firms like Morgan etc need millions behind them.

So in short good luck OP with your venture I wish you well but I really think you are dreaming rather than being able to deliver.

Well, this would have been a good laugh...if it weren't so pathetically tragic to see a kid fail to distinguish dream from reality.

I like the idea mentioned a couple of times that any project should be started in the shed building a kit car or racer. Using the name and logo are a non starter as they cannot be used.
Noble make great cars from a shed in Leicestershire. Any revival of Rover is unlikely. Reputation was hammered from 1968 until 2005. That’s a lot bad press and a scattering of bad cars to make buyers forget.......which they will not.

Can't wait to see this "shed".
Must be made by the same company that built the Tardis for Dr Who.

Watching the lorries try to get down Whitley Croft Rise might be a laugh too.

Wonder if the whole range of cars are going to be fully built in house "Shed" ? or just assembled?

For those who have never seen one, this might be interesting.

One press would do all but would need LOTS of tooling. Some tooling weighs in at about 20 tons. EACH !

Or do it the old way by hand. Good luck with finding 4 people who can do that this day and age. Even most modern sheetmetal workers have never even seen a wheeling machine. Never mind know how to use one.....

But say that is all possible.
You also need to think about aftermarket.
Vehicle Sales Dealerships
Trained Technicians to work on them
Spare Parts departments
Parts Distribution network
Warranty
Parts Catalogues
Workshop Manuals.

Etc etc ......
