Registration query
I have a friend whose husband has an 02 plate CDT75. He runs it a mile to his work and back and that's about it so he wants to sell it. I don't know much about the car, it's white gold, looks tidy enough, and I think it's club spec. I did a vehicle check and bizarrely it's on an 02 plate but registered July 2003???? How does that work out? If anyone can get more info on cars through the reg number please get in touch, I'm rubbish at reconnaissance!

If it's an 02 plate registered in July 2003, the car has been registered abroad before it was registered here!

Interesting. Year of manufacture is also 2002 (obviously).

You can put any plate you like on any car providing you do not make it look newer and the plate is available from the DVLA, as long as you pay the fee for it.
