Default Secret Squirrel Helicopters

Two private liveried helicopters just gone over towards Windsor. No transponders activated so not showing on Flight Radar.

Just heard them via a TV broadcast passing Westminster, eastbound, still not showing in Flight radar, though military do.

Default Raf a400m

We had an RAF A400M Atlas flew over my house today on a mission from Brize Norton to Aberdeen then into Prestwick

Flying at medium level.

Wonder what it was up to?

They have a particular sound which I can pick up miles distant, you know how it buzzes the engine note.

An RAF C17 Globemaster flew over our house twice Thursday afternoon at a low level, we are local to Manchester Airport, the Manchester Evening News later stated it was on ILS and VOR training.

Checking Freedar it would seem it had flown up from Brize Norton, after leaving the Manchester area it continued on to Birmingham Airport and did several approaches before returning to Brize Norton.

Oddly enough we'd also a C130 Hercules fly over the house a couple of times in the morning.

I reckon the RAF is getting a bit of training in whilst the sky's are quiet.

My son was informed that loads of C17's were flying into Manchester, but on checking, found it was the one doing "bumps and circuits".
