Red face Km and/or Miles

I have bought an MG ZT T. Its in concourse condition with 40K from new. I believe it was built to order and shipped to Japan and then came back to UK to a high end used car dealer who imports/exports some very nice very expensive cars(The sort driven by football plyers). The speedometer was changed to MPH but the tacho is in Km. Is it possible to change this to Miles or is it fixed?

I think f you have hi-line nav set up you can do it through the trip computer.

If not - T4 session is the only way as far as i know - no doubt a T4 guru will confirm.

I am sorry I do not understand.
When you say tacho, what do you mean?
Have you a speedo with a dial like a rev counter and then a digital speedo displayed by the touch of a button on the indicator stalk?

T4 can alter the odometer to miles, its a case of altering the market programming from whichever country it was originally sent to, if you send me a private message with your reg number I will have a look at where it was originally destined for!

You can change form km to miles and vise versa with TOAF or Phils IPK Changer program....The program last mentioned can be gotten on this site If you do a search for free program....Toaf you can get at http://toaf.roverki.eu/
You will need a soldered VAG cable or a BMW INPA cable...Both a items you can get on EBAY

Good Luck

The speedometer has been replaced to MPH. The total distance reading and current trip reading are displayed in Km not miles.

So change it then...It will calculate the right conversion for km/miles or Miles/km
