Not all hero's wear capes. What a community.
Good evening
Massive shout out to David Tomlinson (Bolton Area), New to the Rover 75 scene with my 1st Rover 75 purchase. All was going well for a couple of days but today driving home steam / smoke seemed to explode from under the bonnet. Thanks to the advise of the community I had contacted a local legend and saved his number. I called Dave sent him a picture of the split hose and within the hour he was with me. Hose and coolant in hand he fixed my car at the road side on a bank holiday weekend. He also fixed my boot not opening in about 30 seconds. Taking car to him next Saturday for a full health check. Thanks for the advise given so far and feel proud to be part of this amazing community. Long live the 75. Martyn Last edited by Grumpyold2hat; 30th March 2024 at 20:18.. |

David came to my rescue last September, when a corroded brake line failed (to back brakes), just 2 days before a planned trip to Anglesey.
I took the car to him at about 18:00 that day (towed it with an A-frame behind son-in-law's Vectra) and by 20:00 it was done, and I was on my way back home with 2 new rear brake lines fabricated and fitted, and able to continue making plans for our trip.
