Default Bosch Battery Age Code

I found this interesting video (including a code chart 42 seconds in) for Bosch/Varta battery dates. Why they can't just put the manufacturing date on there is beyond me but I guess its so they can keep them on the shelf without us mere mortals knowing! Knowledge is king! My code was almost invisible but could just be seen by cleaning the top right of the battery (looking from nearside of car) and looking from an angle.

And in the olden days there used to be a 'charge by date' to determine if it hadn't been sold by then it needed a top up charge.
