Wax Block?
Hi everyone just bought my second 75. A Connie CDTi one owner under 24,000 miles, absolutely over the moon, A couple of questions I need to ask the experts. I have got with the car what looks like a piece of chocolate it is 4cm diameter and 1cm thick it is embossed with the rover emblem on one side with a serial number on the other side Has anyone got any ideas what this is? I also want to put on an egr bypass like I did on my old car and had a quick look under the bonnet today and see the new car has a boost sensor fitted. Can I still put on the egr bypass and cut up my silicone hose off my old car to suit and presume it still has the viton rings to be replaced. Last thing at the moment does anyone know of someone who does the 160 remap in the Birmingham/Wolverhampton areas. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi.
Welcome along. Sounds like a great buy. Photos please . I've no idea what the wax block is - intrigued..... Not sure about EGR bypass with boost sensor. I can't see why it wouldn't be OK but I'm sure someone will be along soon with the correct answer. AFAIK there's no-one in the Midlands who does a 160 remap. Contact marinabrian or Phil T4 as I'm pretty sure they can do a postal service. Or take a trip up the M6 to Manchester to see Civil Steve and have her remapped on his rolling road. Good guys, all of them. Good luck. Andy. Last edited by AndyN01; 15th October 2018 at 07:37.. |

Wax Bock
I'd better not tell you, just fell in love with the car, Found my weaker side. It is in absolutely mint condition. Just got to look after it now. Saw a V8 one the other day with only 22 miles on the clock registered if I remember correctly 2017 think it was for sale about £25,000. Anyway you only live once so you might as well have what you want.

That is an admirable attitude and one I have highlighted many times in relation to cars that are out of the ordinary. It's also great fun to see the "expert valuations" and critique completely demolished! |
