Certainly due to Peter's legacy, members do attend this meet and clearly go out of their way to do so. Lucky catch with a very "long lens" on the Lanc.. Last edited by planenut; 18th September 2022 at 15:22.. |

Have to agree, a great meet. Thanks are due to Fred for arranging things and making us all feel welcome
Oh, and a link for Fred that would seem to indicate we may have missed some of the subtle differences in the decor https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/whats-on...nosqOEa0azhXDE Cliff

Well Jennifer, I do think you could be right. Post 29.
Looks like 2 engines per wing, and the tail plane certainly fits. Fred can probably confirm. if it is a Lancaster, then I presume it is from the Battle of Britain Flight, and rehearsing for tomorrows State Funeral. As you say, a lucky shot indeed, or was it was pre-arranged Bob? Mike

The aircraft in the picture is certainly a Lancaster, though digital photography sometimes gives us uncanny abilities to "spot" such rarities.
