Looking at the price difference, I guess it's a case of yer gets wot yer pays for! My part-worn tyres are noisier than the A/Ts on my4x4! Anyway, after being stranded on Hartside for 2+ hours on Tuesday (never got to Brian's) I decided to give it a wash and polish today. Lots of little scratches showed up, thanks to Turtle Wax. Where is the best place to get a rattle can or 2 of Copperleaf?

Talking of number plates, mine was registered on March 31st 2001. Will that make it the last 75 to be registered on the 'old' number plate system? (It still fits into the 'new' taxation system.)

Not today, but earlier this week, drove down to Farnborough to pick up an xj650, 340 miles on a tankful of lpg, towing a wee trailer too.
Amazing how much difference keeping below 65 makes, I normally only get 280 to 300 max.

Didn't do it myself but managed to get the nephew to wash and hoover her so now she looks and smells a whole lot better. I WAS BUSY REPAIRING MY DAUGHTERS ... WAIT FOR IT .... SCABBY FIESTA. !
she was complaining of a broken front n/s spring, went to scrapys Friday for spare took 20 minutes to remove? took 2 of us over 3 hours to get the one off the car, last owner had tried to do same but butchered the whole thing, hence the 3 hours to get it off.
Glad I don't own a ford ?

Ray.

Fitted the rear cam belts on the V6 then went to do a final check on the timing. Wasted a lot of time trying to lock the engine by using the wrong hole in the crankcase for the locking pin. Let's hope it's still decent weather tomorrow.

New battery, annual service, pre MOT check. Need 4 new flexible brake pipes due to corrosion on ferrules, new number plates ordered, smiley for back, and new windscreen wipers. E mailed Rimmers bros last night regarding problems with drivers door locking on key fob, but not unlocking email back from Gary giving part number and confirming that part is in stock, ordered today. Cannot fault the service from Rimmers! Will get all new parts fitted next Monday.
