And the end of a long day! Hopefully no one will pinch it overnight as I can’t be bothered to lift it in the garage!!

Default Quick dust and polish

Car was a little dusty, so gave it a quick once over, plus inside.

Happy now.

I just did a simple handbrake adjustment today, but as Brian will know, the deeper I go on this car the more I find questionable DIY work from a previous owner.

Two new things today are missing screws for the cubby hole and mixed fixings for the air vent to the rear seats.

And I also discovered the seal on the body that goes over the top of the door is being held in place by positive thinking and nothing else.

I'm starting to wonder if this car is really worth saving or if it's better off buying a better example to restore.

Washed it this morning and swapped it over to use the coupe for a few days.

Worth doing, didn't realise how rust it was, like brand new now and all back where it should be.

Took the rather shabby rear window trim off Frosty, and washed out thirteen years of gunk from around the rear window.

After drying it off, I treated the lower trim clips to a dose of Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure, then after a second dose, carefully refitted the replacement brightwork.

Gave the whole car another wash, and as it was a nice day, headed to the beach via the fish and chip shop, and took the dog plodging in the sea.

As it was a little overcast on return to Marina Towers, I gave the lad a quick coat of wax.......Mmmm shiny Firefrost
