Sat nav not shutting down - Battery Flat

I have tried two different BMW Mk4 nav units bought from ebay and both won't shutdown. So there must be something keeping the unit active, anyone have any ideas?

Without the unit attached radio and display works fine.

Should say the radio and Vid module have been replaced and if the sat nav module is not connected then the battery does not go flat
