Engine light 2.5 V6

I have found a 75 saloon online that i am keen on. I would use it as a winter car, i want to try and keep the salt of my other 75.
The seller states that the engine light is on, and that it hunts at idle. The code apparently says running rich both banks. It has recently passed a mot like this. I am not one for parts darts, if i could get someone to look at it on T4 would that show the fault? I can't do this without buying it however.
Has anyone had these faults before?

if you really like the car you could get the vehicle checked over by the A.A . might cost (not sure how much) but you need to know if your taking on garage bills. once you have a full report then if there are issues you could use them to negotiate. dont take a chance on something that may cost you dearly.
