Front Interior Roof Light
Can anybody help me to remove either the lens or the complete unit so that I can access the electrics above it.
Thanks Colin |

If you look just behind the sunroof switch housing there is a small cut out in the lens, use a small screwdriver, or similar, to release the lens then you will see the screws that secure the fitting to the roof.

Roof Light
Thanks for the speedy response.
My car is a saloon without a sun roof. The light unit is quite large, about 12"x6", with the lens cover in the middle and without any obvious indents to help lever the lens out. I would be grateful for any further guidance. Thanks Colin |

The cut out is in the edge of the lens, just behind the housing where the lens curves round the blank for the sunroof switch.

Colin, perhaps this will help.
The notch for the screwdriver is circled: Then the two screws can be undone which hold the lighting cluster to the car, marked by the arrows: Once removed, it looks like this (after you've disconnected the wiring harness): Hope that makes it a bit clearer for you. |
