The interior is worth half the asking price, sounds like a bargain.

The VED could be a deal breaker,,,,,,If it’s a post march 2001 car then it will be £565 for a years tax!!!
My diesel auto below is £305 and that’s more than enough!

£565 is only if it it is registered after the 23rd March 2006. That is unlikely as the 2.0 V6 was replaced by the 1.8T in 2002 and MGR went bust in April 2005. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

I've had my 2 litre auto for ten years now. I bought it to get the 75 "out of my system", not knowing that the 2.0 was the V6 to avoid... 🤦NAUGHTY WORD-♂️ 10 years on, I've had all the usual issues of VIS motors, leaking boot etc. I've a rattly inlet manifold now but hoping that a re-engineered alternative (mentioned in these forums somewhere) will appear soon.
It's a very nice cruiser high speed cruiser. 85mph on cruise control is its happy place. In sport mode and manually manipulating the ratios, it can be made to sprint. I converted mine to LPG straight away so petrol prices have never been a concern.

Dorset Bob, you are correct I didn’t see the asterisk on the 11th Tax band!
As he is on a 99 plate it is one of two rates, a lower one at £165 for up to 1549cc and a £270 one fo anything over that which would apply to a 2.0 V6 of that vintage. Mind you if you have a 2.5 v6 on a 04 plate I think it will Be a shocker for some to learn of the hike into the ‘Gentry’ tax bracket!

Yes, my V6 was built at Cowley and came of the production line on the 30th June 2000, but wasn't registered until the 1st March 2001.
This was the day they changed from cubic capacity to "emissions" VED. If my car was registered a day earlier I would pay £270 instead of £330.
