Kitchen duties completed. Soup made, cooled a bit and blitzed; adobo ready, rice heated; Ging's smoothie for tonight made. Tell a lie, kitchen duties not quite completed, girl's dinner still to prepare.

Quizzie isn't subtle when it's food time.

She comes and whinges in your face, turns those big eyes on you and her tail goes into waggy mode....... until you give in and attend to the most important job(s) of the day .

it's been nice today, a bit sunshine and it's been quite nice today. I went with my new friend Amir for a coffee and cup of tea with 2 bacon sandwich, I was well stuffed today.

When he was started on it, he had to go into a clinic for 2 weeks to manage the highs and tolerance of being on a pure form of CBD oil. A great outcome in terms of relief from the pain and it cleared up the infection he had in his tongue. Jessica couldn’t get on with it. I seem to remember it was called black pearl.

I am not sure if it’s available on the NHS or not or if you could drive with it after ingesting it because of the side effects of drowsiness etc

Applied topical through the skin, sorry I didn’t know.

You could try the NHS “patient access” app for a CBD support group forum.
Hi Phil,

Thanks for that info.

What I have is a CBD topical balm for applying to the skin rather than orally taken.
So far I'm very pleased as I have not needed the naproxen at all today

Morning all.

Ah, Suzy looks just delightful . But I'll bet she wins the "persistence pays off" race .

Good to hear that some of the ache and pains are responding to meds.

How are you doing Rev?

Quite bright and dry here, but that isn't due to last. Not even until lunchtime . If this carries on I won't need to walk Quizzie to the river, it'll come to us .

Take care everyone.

Morning all, What a grey day, The forecast isn't good either as we're going to get rain from mid morning on for the entire day.

Morning all, a grey day

Good morning Jeff,

…..that’s great news the balm is working for you. The NSAID creams are useful but they have the potential for unpleasant side affects. It will be interesting to see how you get on with the CBD balm, keeping fingers crossed it does the trick.

Come Monday, it will be the start of week 8 post operation and by the end of the week I should be doing more to help myself and this will take the strain off Jessica having to do everything. I don’t get any pain when I am in bed and it only hurts when I am walking or moving around, so I have been able to cut back on the painkillers considerably. Just take 2 Paracetamol once every 8-10 hours.

Yesterday I checked my weight, it had gone up by 1kg which is an improvement. I have been eating Milk Tray and Lindt chocolates to boost the weight, not very nice as I don’t have any sweet teeth left.

Breakfast shortly - Fruit n Fibre then it’s a walk in the park with Jessica before the rain comes.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Cool

Morning everyone from a grey day.

Getting Banana ready for her epic drive tomorrow up to the Frimley breakfast meet. Taking a car load of spares, I collected a load of bits from one forum member, stored them in the house and now delivering them to another member who is travelling up from Gravesend to the meet.

Also I have calendars to deliver.

And on Monday Banana is off to the trimmers to have her headlining and corner posts redone in brushed black nylon.
