My father had one of those. Typical Ford engine though. The piston rings broke out through the land above the top ring and then all the bits embedded themselves in the top of the piston.--

I fitted another engine for him from a breakers. In those days it was the cheapest option.---

My uncle had Corsair with the horrible V4 engine, he replaced it with an RS2000 spec pinto lump which improved things no end.
