Always fancied a Norton but have also had BSA Royal Star, Honda CB750 Ten Year Anniversary Limited Edition, Honda CB 250, CB 500, Suzuki GT 380, GSX600, GSF600, etc., etc.

No doubt Norton prices will go up even more now!
Lovely comet, worth about £20000 now.

Still enjoying my 1938 BSA Empire star, owned it for around 20 years, still use it for work almost every day in the summer, all country lanes out to Finchingfield, popular today with 'modern ' bikers. Some days just have to take the long, indirect route home! Great bike just to jump on and dissappear for a few hours or so on the weekend.

I see the owners statement almost inevitably blaming Brexit on the news last night despite Norton failing to supply orders already paid for by customers.

Rather bizarre, failing to fulfil existing orders then presumably blaming an event for not getting enough orders to be viable.

This was my Royal Star 500

Maybe we should start an old bikes thread? Or old bikers!

They had problems fulfilling orders right from the start. Someone on a bike forum I used to be on ordered 1 in around 2010, and put down a deposit. By 2013 the bike still hadn’t been delivered or even built. From what I can remember, he took them to court to get his money back.
