Default TOAF trouble

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me with TOAF.

I've downloaded the software and USB drivers(twice), hooking up to the car
I get the message "COM3 connect successful" but on "scan car" it's only picking up DME and Jatco. The USB cable has the CH340G chip and I believe I have the correct driver as evidenced by the successful connect message.
Laptop is Windows 10 64bit

Any ideas please?

thanks,

Malc

Also worth trying a different COM port, and ensuring the connection to the OBD port is in fully.
I’ve found TOAF can be a bit fickle at times.

I used toaf on a Windows 7 64bit laptop pins 7&8 bridged. I used these drivers and it worked 1st time.

As said by vitesse make sure pins 7&8 are bridged in the cable..

Thanks for the suggestions; I did bridge the the pins in question (albeit with a twist of fuse wire) and I started getting error messages from TOAF.
However, I'll try again with a soldered link and I'll check out the driver download link.
THanks,

Malc

Default ........up and running

Well, I thought I had pins 7 and 8 bridged but on further inspection, I'd foolishly bridged 9 and 10 instead !!
So having soldered 7&8, try again still no luck. Then I noticed that the heat of soldering had softened the plastic and pin 8 had moved out of line. As soon as I fixed that, result!!

Thanks again,
Malc

Glad you sorted it. Don't forget to backup ecm and LCM etc before changing any settings...

Pleased my comment about pins 7 & 8 helped, and thanks for getting back with the solution.
Would like to add to previous posters comment, back-up every module before making changes and go cautiously forward - I've been using Toaf for a few years now and there's still stuff I never dream of touching without knowing what I'm doing.

Regards
