Used to belong to Profdave, and was "recommissioned" by a local quiet dealer, with an MOT not worth the paper it was written on.

The door shuts were blue, and there was talk of this car being sold from the roundhouse "MG Rover Direct" forecourt, but it didn't look right compared to the other Duotones I've seen in the flesh.

Limorog had a two tone V8 tourer, but that started out life being Chatsworth, before being painted raven black and some other dark maroon non MGR colour on the bottom, but this car was an outsourced Macneillie paint job, and not a factory Duotone car.

And don't forget the duotone green tourer that was owned by member "Duotone". A seriously lovely car, but again, not a factory painted duotone.

Yes I had thought after I posted about Dave's old ca Cliff, it should be about sorted , if not already after it's prang on the IOM.

I had looked forward to seeing Max "Manxie Rover" at a meeting this year, but that has been scotched for the moment

I knew Dave had sold it, but hadn't realised it had been pranged. At least it sounds as though it's been saved.

That car is one of my favourite '75s - a lovely example, and I usually much prefer saloons.

Now there is a character had the pleasure of meeting him at mine recently, he enjoys the life of riley from what he was telling me about his living arrangements. Me, jealous?........

I saw that Green duotone Rover at a meet at Trikeys in Barton a few years ago and TBH its the only 75 I have really liked. ie considered making an offer.

eBay one isn’t a genuine duo. Build data shows it as Starlight

Nicest duotone for me was Marmite, Brian's old one. Gosh I loved that car! If I was better off, it would have been mine when he sold it!
