Default Every Driver Out There Is An Idiot!

That's an adage of mine I have used for years: we all consider that we are the best, but a safe practice is to assume that everybody is risking YOUR life.

My Dad said those words to me the first time I got in the car with him as a learner.

Wise words indeed.

The bloke paddling the canoe must have been doing a heck of a speed when he hit the side of that car

With the number plate clearly visible I would hope that the individual gets traced and spoken to by the Traffic Cops.

On another point - I notice that a lot of the car crash stupid drivers videos are from Russia - and a lot involve old Lada’s. it looks like these and a lot of the more modern cars are badly maintained because stopping distances seem crazily long.

And whilst driving on snow is hazardous - modern tyres/winter tyres do improve things a lot.

But at the accident rate the Russians seem to be accepting as normal - it could be that the plan is to kill off all the shockingly bad drivers as soon as possible.

The reality is that the bad ones take any of a better standard.

It is amazing from that video and similar, how people just don't seem to react to the hazardous situation developing, ploughing on into it.

"Every Driver Out There Is An Idiot!". My father was a Police traffic car driver, those words were drummed into them from the first minute of the traffic car driving course.

Its frightening how many times in ordinary driving "Every Driver Out There Is An Idiot!" is proved to be true.

How do you even explain this?
I don't understand how anyone could not realise there is a problem and just carry on regardless., shows a total lack of awareness thar appears to be too prevalent these days.
