Getting down to the fence will reap rewards. Does rather depend on what lens you are shooting with to be able to focus past the catch fence though.

I was using a 70-200 F2.8 lens for the panning shots and slapped on a 2x tele convertor to same lens for the front on shots

Sorry bud didnt realise you were there, we were not too far away on the bank at Hawthorn, great pics by the way.
We are also going to Silverstone next week too, not too sure where we will plonk ourselves there, suggestions welcome.
