My fault for not including the quote I was replying to! I think I'm getting the hang of it now though

No, I did not open it up, I lifted it out and just gave it an external inspection. If no joy with the K-bus diagnostics, I'll tackle the ECU next. Steve |

I have removed the heater control panel and had a really good look inside with a torch but I still cannot see the k-bus header. Could it be behind the assembly below, which includes the seat heater switches, cup holders and ash tray? I couldn't see how to release this assembly. It's loose but it won't come away. |

I've just checked RAVE which shows a photograph of it in a different place; behind the fascia on the right hand side just above the immobiliser. Just to warn you that it might be wrapped in tape. Simon

Ahh, OK. Would I access that via the panel above the pedals?

I can't be sure Steve as I haven't done it myself, but that sounds like an idea worth trying.

Easier if you remove the LSM as that will give you a 'viewing area' I must have been thinking about the location on the V6?? I have definately seen the header behind the ashtray as i have tapped into it!

electric gremlins
As artic says and also in my experience unless you get the ecu checked out and confirmed as ok then I fear you can waste a large amount of time and effort for little or no reward. Check with Artic I'm sure he can help get your ecu checked out.
