Default A3/B3 or A3/B4 engine oil?

Am I right in thinking that it's okay to use A3/B4 oil in the the diesel engine in our cars. The handbook states A3/B3, I assume A3/B4 is a higher grade. I have tried reading up online but it's all over my head. TIA.

I've been using that oil for years now and everything lubricated by it, including the turbo, is still running fine and hasn't been touched. Not bad for 420k miles.

I always stock up when they have a special sale on.

MGR actually says a higher spec is fine in the Handbook. Here's the relevant section:

See the note on the left.

Hello T-Cut,

Recently I also have not been able to see any of your attachments. I get a very small, grey bordered outline of a box. Have you changed to using a Google image service? It is not working! I am no computer expert but I notice that the url displaying this box is ridiculously long and complex.

How odd, I see them OK.
I'm using Google Images as host, so maybe they don't like what I'm doing - just like Photobucket and the rest. Seems nobody offers free hosting any longer. It was always too good to be true.

EDIT: Referring to the missing image, the note I referred to says:
To ensure optimum engine performance, oils used for topping up and refilling the engine must match the minimum ACEA specifications shown in the table (eg. ACEA A3 oils can be used in place of ACEA A2 oils, but oils of a lower numerical value must NEVER be used.

EDIT 2: It seems Google also prohibits you from embedding hosted images into a public forum. However,I just found a new way to get it to work. So, does my original Post 5 above now show the image?

TC

Google drive is perfectly fine - with each email address you get 15GB storage space free with the ability to link to stored objects. Also 5GB with free personal outlook.
