NO !!!-----

But I like to learn new things all the time. This need has never abated but I do like ( What this forum is all about ) to share any new knowledge with other people just in case it might benefit them and sometimes help them to save their hard earned money.--------It please me and is, I guess, the reason why I look in on the forum every day.

I also do all my own plumbing including central heating installations for myself and others.
Also all the electrical work I've done on the three derelict buildings I've bought and worked on over Here in France.

All the installation of sewage systems and the associated ground works.

I'll post below a few pics of the work I've done myself over here in France. A couple of before and after pics.

Two swimming pools and more than 150 metres of garden walling.

I'll put the pics in the next post in case I lose all the words in this post as my computer sometimes throws a fit and swallows them. --

PS. I'll put some pics in a new thread as this one is about batteries.---( Sorry OP. )

That's a good question so I've checked. RAVE says that the answer is no. The BCU enters sleep mode sixteen minutes after the ignition has been switched off (provided that there have been no triggers during that sixteen minutes). The bonnet switch can be closed or open at the time that the ignition is switched off and the BCU will still enter sleep mode. But if the bonnet switch changes state during the sixteen minutes, the BCU will awaken.

I'd rather be more specific and say---When the light is green it can have any amount of stored charge.----

I had asked for a simple answer to an electrical problem with my battery, lots of supposed answers on here, but please can someone tell me why it has too be turned into a sniping competition between learned people. all I ask for sensible suggestions, AndyNo1 I am not referring to you you have been most helpful.

Don't let it bother you Rev. COLVERT has said in another post that he s 84 and we have to make allowances. Although I don't think it is an age thing, more likely the effect of making lead based batteries for too long or just naturally contankerous. I think COLVERT living in France is one of the main reasons for our poor relations with the French. He must drive them mad!

PS - he knows I don't really mean any of the above. Well most of the above!

PS. Everything I've said on this post up to now is factual.--Nothing is supposed.

All can be confirmed by interrogation on battery sites on the internet.
