new fuel
wont be long before the new petrol fuels hit the pumps. i have been on dot gov to check if we are compatible for use but we are not listed as it says that mgrover are no longer trading. so with not much further noise on here about it i assume we rover petrol boys will be ok to use it. it is the long term degrading effects on certain components as i understand but which parts would be most vulnerable in the fuel lines etc ? or carry on regardless. ...

If you look at Land Rover, all petrol engines in them since 1996 are ok to use the new fuel. So it follows that our petrol engines are ok to use it. I don’t know if the 1.8 engine had been used in Land Rovers though. It has been in use on the continent for quite a few years now, and have not read anything about any problems from our continental friends as yet. We shall see. I believe that the E5 fuel that we are using now, will still be available but will be ‘a premium Fuel’. We all know what that means? More money. Well I never. The motorist being shafted again..
