Default So who is making all the money?

Just been looking at the price of 18mm 8x4 sheets of plywood and OSB 3,
Who is making all the money as the price increase this last year is shocking.

I was going to put up an 8 x 12 single sided wall in my workshop for shelving and tools. I want to get on and do it but am reluctant to pay the high price. Problem with waiting to see what happens with the price, is that it could go up or be months before it comes down. I'm sure if I speak to the wife she will say, but without the F, JFDI it wont matter in 20 years time.

We have to all just get used to price inflation. I’m doing up my property and feel your pain.

We pulled out of buying a wreck due to the amount of time it would have taken to have done up. We may have dodged a bullet, tradesman not turning up or giving quotes and costs rising. We had expected the project to have taken a year or so to complete, perhaps that was being optimistic.

Are you putting anything on hold or still going full steam ahead. You may have a long drawn out project ahead if stuff is difficult to source. Good luck

I’m now doing it mostly myself but will need an electrician for a couple of days. I’m 70% through it. I need some more kingspan insulation sheets, the price has almost doubled.

The price is starting to fall slightly (comparing now to 5 or 6 months ago).

Availability was an issue due to covid, between production and delivery.

Have you looked on ebay for used sheets of ply.

You would need to get them home somehow ?
