Default Side impact sensor - offside ?????

My car is a 2001 v6 conny . I have just started getting an airbag warning light up on the dash so I used Toaf as a diagnostic method and got :
9144 Side sensor right - communication
9142 Side sensor right - plausibility
Seems clear enough , I thought , the impact sensor . I have previously replaced the n/s one a good few years ago . However RAVE gave me contradicting info , showing it both on the inside of the sill , and also on the front of the seat cross-member .I think the later orange one is meant to be on the sill , and the earlier green one on the cross member ?
However , having undone the o/s seat and tipped it back I then made a cautious surgical cut in the carpet to allow me to force it up and have a look and a feel underneath . I can't find any sign of the impact sensor I can't see if it is under the plastic airduct which passes under the seat here , but can't feel anything .
Can anyone confirm that my model actually has an o/s sensor , and where is it ? Also , will it be part no. YDB100310 , as opposed to YDB000310
I am a bit puzzled here .....

it was on the rear crossmember , not the front .
It is YDB100310 , so just got to try and find a new one now ; not easy ?

Those appear to be the later impact sensors that would normally be orange..

@chris75 .. does yours look like the DMGRS sensor YDB000310

They are indeed the earlier sensors shown on your ebay link , YDB100310.
DMGRS , can you please find some earlier ones ?
I would prefer to find new ones ,but might have to settle for used . I wont know if they work till I fit them
Next step is to remove the old one and just try a contact cleanup ; maybe I get lucky ................

I have seen adverts for new versions of the sensor for the Rover 45 , part YDB100410 , and they look identical to the 75 one .

Could they be the same and we could use them on the 75 ?
Anyone know anything ?

Have emailed DMGRS about the above and they have advised that they are not interchangeable , having different connectors and internals . Oh well .......

Yes green for earlier cars and Orange for later cars.

Water and damp cause corrosion.

I got a used sensor off ebay , and it works
For interest , I dismantled the old one and took a couple of pics which may be of interest . No sign of damp or corrosion in there .
I had researched these sensors , generic not Rover 75 , on the net and learnt that the way to test them is to use an ohmmeter across the 2 contacts ; these are the outer 2 of the 3 pins in the connector . A very low reading proving continuity should be the result . However , i could not get any reading on either the old duff one or the working replacement But the replacement works .......
A low reading would indicate a switch normally closed , I think , whilst no reading indicates normally open ? Anyone know how the YDB100310 works ?

Reading RAVE Chris, I doubt that that is a valid test. This is what it says.

"Each sensor consists of an electronic accelerometer, microprocessor and serial link circuit."

Looking at your photograph there's clearly an integrated circuit involved with a digital output so it's not just a simple switch that can be tested using the resistance range on a multimeter.

You may like to know that RAVE also says that the sensors must be fitted in the correct orientation with no gap between the sensor and the crossmember. The fixing screws must be tightened to the correct torque. The chart quotes "side impact sensor to body Torx bolts 6 Nm".
