Default A great day in the ZT-T

Did not expect to do anything today - but early this morning two panic phone calls - could i do a job in Andover was the first then could I do a BIG favour for my lovely daughter in law

She needed some items picked up from Duravit in Milton Keynes that then had to be delivered to the Grand Hotel Brighton ready for a big opening on Thursday.

Nice bit of dovetailing as Andover was on the way say a nice round trip - fully expensed and paid for in the ZT-T to MK via Andover, then down the M1, round the M25 and onto the M23 to Brighton - and then on home to Hampshire.

She drove beautifully and as before on a long run just seems to thrive on it. A great day!

Had to take a pic of her outside the Grand. Shame she was in the Taxi rank tho

Also - just filled up after that trip - and did a brim to brim mpg check - and I am very pleased to say this fill up was 52.12 mpg.

At last I have achieved a good margin over the 50

According to some members, 50 + is a myth......

Good work, though.

Well 50 is certainly unachievable for me with normal driving - this winter was always around 45mpg. and last summer about 48mpg.

I did hit just over the 50 once last summer but by the smallest of margins.

But on this last trip, a) I had run some injector cleaner through, b) the weather was nice and warm and c) I really was cruising as I could not pick up the items from Milton Keynes till after 2pm and the target ETA in Brighton was between 4:30 and 5:00pm - so it was a very light right foot and under 70 all the way.

And she just flew! - I only seemed to need to use my right foot on inclines

The round trip was 349miles and the next 200 miles were nice longish journeys as well. So on this occasion a good margin over 50 was achieved - but I am not expecting this on my more normal runs.
