Thank you guys , you've all been really kind and thoughtful, it means a lot. I had a few hours to myself over the weekend, so I took the Capri out for a spin to relax a little, it was nice to have that little break.
I've pretty much got the funeral plans now sorted, even down to the music that is to be played, we chose my fathers favourite song by Dire Straits (Brothers in Arms), it seems to be widely popular at funerals. The funeral in on Thursday, cant say we are looking forward to it, I'm worried about mum, she is really going to find it difficult, I guess we all will. Thanks again guys, stay safe everyone. |

Sadly when he passed it was winter and approaching Xmas so we didn't have much time to think about where to scatter his ashes. As a kid we used to holiday in the same cottage year after year in the Yorkshire Dales, so I had thought about the fields and fell behind the cottage. The trouble was with it being in winter it was about a 2 hour drive in unpredictable weather, so we just had them scattered in the crem garden of remembrance. Luckily its only a 10 min drive from me so I can go and leave flowers without having far to go.
