Ah, someone else that's had problems with fitment! I'm intrigued by needing to use a dremel, having said that I found that it was very tight at the top left hand edge when it meets the sharp corner of the wing. I thought to myself that it might well benefit from a slice here and a cut their but didn't! Thanks for your input and tips Nigel, regards.

And don't forget the wheel arch liners are different on the premium bumper cars - whether that may be adding to your problems I don't know, but it may be a factor.

See here for the correct part numbers for the wheel arch liners, they have an extension at the front:

It seems the 'extension' is Xpart speak for the hatch cover.

Rimmers listing is more confusing than anything. Why is only the RHS liner listed?
There's also the front filler/duct panel, again only RHS.

Are the LHS components the standard ones? Doesn't make sense.

Um..no!

theer are two part numbers listed for the wheel arch liners on the page quoted.

CLF000720 is the RH liner.
CLF000730 is the LH liner.

It is possible that the brake duct liner might only change on the RHS. V8 cars and 1.8T cars use a windscreen washer bottle in the LHS wheelarch hence the LHS may not need to change in the evnt of a bumper change.
V6 and diesel cars (I think) have the washer bottle on the RHS and may need the different duct liner on that side only.

I have to say I've not looked at on of my existing V8 cars to see if the ducts are different, but I do know the wheelarch lines differ from the standard ones.

I see the standard liners, but I thought we were talking about Premium bumper parts?
I can't find the Part Number for the Premium LH liner.

My 1.8T dresses with the washer bottle on the right.

I used my original Liners they fitted OK. I fitted new oversized fixing brackets made from a ABS plastic drain cover which I cut to shape and fixed to the wing with tiger seal. Once the bumper was fitted I I pulled the liners in so they fitted correctly the held it whilst I first drilled a hole through the Liners original hole into the new bracket the used a self tapping screw to fix it in place. Two hands needed for this although I managed it on my own by having all that I needed to hand.

Regards

Nigel

Good call, I'll get a couple of new clips. However I got my wires crossed, I really meant to say the actual fir tree brackets, being a bare V8 bumper it didn't have any brackets installed in place so I knicked them from my MK2 bumper. I haven't glued the brackets to the new bumper as I don't want to get the locating of the brackets wrong but I can see I totally need them!

Quick note to Steve/Rob... should I glue them into place?

Hmmm, while it would be nice to replace them I don't think it's strictly necessary from reading the previous installation threads. I'll have to see what unfolds...

I have now a very new and far far more serious problem that needs rectifying before I can really use my car again though which started on my run home yesterday, the auto gear box started making a grinding noise with some serious juddering, initially in 1st but then also felt it in 2nd. It sits ok in neutral but when engaging it's not good and I'm not happy! I'll start a new thread shortly :-(
