Default Roverowner - Announcement

We've learned today of the sad passing of long time club member Alan Cranston (Roverowner) from Sweden.

Alan had been a very passionate man when it came to his Rovers and as a GP in Linköping, Sweden had quite a collection of cars including his facelift 75 tourer, as well as a pre-launch saloon.

I had the pleasure of meeting him, his wife and his then new born son Brian back in August 2010 when he embarked on his UK tour. He travelled the country and met up with many of his forum friends. Last year he became a father for the fourth time with the arrival of his son Ian.

While being an avid member of the forums he had in recent years been battling with I'll health, and it appears that sadly he lost the fight in April.

A tribute was made by the British Paras and on facebook, but it was only today that one of our members discovered he had passed away after a two year battle with Lymphatic Cancer.

Roverowner was a highly respected member and one who will be sadly missed by many of us, myself included. Our thoughts go out to his wife and children, and as a mark of respect, the forum banner will revert to grey as we remember him and the input he gave to us.

Rest in peace Alan.
