Thumbs up Rover 75 Connoisseur SE 1.8 Manual Tourer **SOLD**

For sale, my own 2003 Rover 75 1.8 Manual in Wedgewood 2 Pearlescent

It has MOT until December 8th 2014 and is taxed until October 31st 2014

If the car doesn't sell quickly I will have to declare SORN, but if you are quick the tax is included.

It is Connoisseur SE spec, so includes parking sensors, memory heated electric leather seats, climate, all electric windows, rain sensing wipers, front fog lights and so on.

This is a one off, the service history and upgrades are second to none, and not wanting sound cheesy, you will actually struggle to find better.

The service history is made up in the handbook, up until 89728 miles, with the supporting receipts. The rest of the history is made up of receipts for work done by me or local garages. The current mileage is 105000ish, this will go up slightly as I am still using it.

The car is clear on HPI.

4 previous non smoking owners.

Still has the supplying dealer tax disc holder.

Recent work includes.... and is mostly done in my ownership since September...

A brand new windscreen, front springs, struts, top mount bearings, drop links, lower arms, rear bushes, anti roll bar bushes, rear springs, rear drop links, rear anti roll bar bushes, some other bushes that I cannot remember the names of, clutch master cylinder, all engine mounts, gearbox mount, rear discs and pads, new genuine parking sensors, reconditioned steering rack and track rod ends, rear discs and pads, complete exhaust system including cat and lambda sensor, coil pack, head gasket, waterpump, thermostat, all belts, a full service including all fluids (not gearbox oil), regassed a/c, new number plates, brand new undertray with the correct fixings, all of the receipts for the above as well totaling nearly £5000. There are of course other things that I have not got receipts for that I have done, or garages have done for cash. There will be other things done that I forgotten about too.

There has also been a number of improvements from the original specification, these include...

Metal VVC inlet manifold, Tazu clutch master cylinder, new tailgate Rover badge, modified handbrake compensator, Waeco heated seat kit (really hot!), the chrome trims and boot vents have been sealed, ford fan mist heated windscreen washer jets, upgraded component speakers, chrome bullet mirrors, 1.8 torpedo badges, chrome load space hooks, drivers grab handle and a handful of other pre project drive goodies.

The car has also had a 4 wheel laser alignment, and a printout is included.

I have had the car on T4, there are no current faults.

There are no mechanical faults with this car, it floats along silently, nothing needs doing, the fan works properly, there are no coolant leaks, and no overheating. In fact, it is probably the coolest running 1.8 I have ever seen. The interior is complete, the car starts on the button, disappointment is not included.

There are two keys.

There are some marks in the paint, the most notable being a scuff on the front bumper, someone fitted a roof rack at some point and has managed to make a dent in the roof with one of the bolts. There are obviously some other smaller marks, but not much really given it's age and mileage. The HK speaker grille in the loadspace is glued shut and has no speaker behind it.

There will be some added extras that I will be leaving on the car, these include rear mudflaps, Heko wind deflectors and a Nokia handsfree kit.

This car is fully loaded, there are few to match it. A true enthusiasts car.

I will also include a T4 session to set any dealer options you may want.

Anybody who knows me will vouch for the fact that I make sure that everything is right, this car does not miss a beat, and you will struggle to find a Rover 75 like it. You are welcome to come and give the car a look over, but there are no hidden nasties.

Asking price, hmmm, £5000, based on some of the daft ebay listings and because I would like to see back what I have spent on the car, more realistically, drop me a PM to discuss something that suits your pocket.

Offers around £995 please

You are quite right, I haven't had it long, the main reason for selling is that I wanted another auto, I was converted from manuals a long time ago, I needed a car in a rush after my MOT tester told me the last 75 I owned was fit to scrap and this came along for a sensible price.

I fixed all the problems because I like the fettling, plus money where my mouth was, I did save this one from it's end. I doubt any other purchaser would have lavished new parts on it like I have.

I have however, sourced my ideal engine, gearbox and body and trim type, so my search for the ideal 75 is over. Time to move this one on.
