Paint in engine bay
Hi guys,
I have a 2003 Club in Starlight Silver. In tidying up the engine bay, i've found out the paint comes off with enamel thinners, around the strut tower tops, down to a gold colour - the e-coat I assume? Were these vehicles not painted with 2K everywhere? The bonnet seems to be 2K but the engine bay appears like base colour with no clearcoat? |

Only the Monogram cars were fully painted by hand, all others were as you’ve found barely covered the metal. Check your inside boot as it’ll be the same hence why I painted inside mine. All manufacturers have done this for years, presumably to save money
