Default Assistance needed

Can anyone point me to the post for fitting a coolant level sensor using the BMW sensor,. I remember seeing photos of the header tank being modified to get the sensor fitted (thought I had printed it out but can't find it).
Thanks in advance
Gareth

PM Lovel - he is the guy who posted the instructions how to put an in tank coolant level sensor into the expansion tank.

Have you changed cars then Gareth? If you still have the stone crusher can't see you needing one. If you start losing coolant this time of the year the cabin gets cold well before the level gets too low, so you can't help to notice it.

Mike, I still have the old girl, just thought I could add a little extra level of security to her.
I managed to acquire an early black expansion tank which I understood was already built to take a level sensor unit from the BMW, so thought I would have a go and upgrade!
I remembered seeing a post on the forum where the sensor was added, but thought it said that the early black tanks just needed to have the sensor fitted and wired up to work.

As I recall, it was tried using the BMW level switch, but was unsuccessful. Either the sensor was the wrong size or the fittings were incompatible. Maybe a judicious word search would find the thread.

Using the Google search function at the top of the page revealed several threads on the subject, including this https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=59508
And the one by Vindaloo but, without pics, thanks to Photobucket
