Is there a text command to turn off the GSM for FBH
I have successfully installed a GSM unit and relay to control the FBH. I bought this used so no instructions and believe it’s one of the lewisrendal units. I have found the command to turn it on - RT, but would like to know if there is another commend that can be used to turn it off before the full 20 min timed operation.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately neither of those appear to work . Following on in the sequence, I did try R2off, that had the effect of turning off the ATC panel for about 10-20 seconds and then it came back on. No idea if it turned off the FBH.
Anyone any other ideas ? I did find if I call the number, rather than text, it turns on the FBH but not the ATC. Another call turns it off. |

R1 is for the fuel burning heater
R2 is for the atc panel. So R2off will turn it off, but if your ignition is switched on it will revert to normal car control

What you have sounds correct.
When you call it, the FBH will start up on it's own and run for 5 mins before the atc is turned on. This is to save your battery, no need to run the fans until it's warmed up a bit. After a total of 20mins they will both shut down. If you are driving the car when it shuts down, you won't actually notice the change over.

Are you texting ZZ to start the process?
R1 and R2 are turning them on and off independently. Example, some mornings it may be 6 degs, the car won't start the FBH at this temp. I often text R1on, to run the FBH. Just remember, to R1off, when it's warmed up as there is no timer when using it this way. E.g. it could run the FBH for weeks lol

When I tested it I was sat in the car, but with no key in the ignition, so maybe if I text R1off, followed by R2off that would shut it all off? I will try later. Quote:
It’s just there are sometimes where it would be useful if I could text it to turn off. Maybe it’s not programmed for this? |
