Exclamation Automatic Transmission Servicing

There have been a number of queries about the servicing (fluid change) of the Jatco and correct fluid etc. with a number of indications that even some Xpart outlets are not aware of the correct details etc.
In the event not all members read the technical posts in detail and are unaware :-
The correct ATF fluid (ATF402/ N402) is sold by Xpart under the Part No. VYK00040 which is for 5 litres.
The price is £20.70 per 5 litres +VAT
There is no shortage and my local Xpart outlet (Marshalls Cambridge Tel:- 01223 377111) have it in stock.
5 litres is adequate for a change (usually 4.5 litres of a total capacity of about 6 litres. It is not poss. to drain 6 l )
Land Rover stock identical fluid with Part No. LNR402)
There is no substitute for this fluid and members should ensure that ONLY this fluid is used in the Jatco box irrespective of what any other garage/ mechanic states.
Correct procedure is imperative, especially the refill/top up
