I have the mp3 version of this unit. Is the only difference between the 2 the MP3 play back function?

My head unit has the memory/power fault, meaning that I have to input the security code and sound set up every time I switch the car on. Is this unit ok?

Will it still work off of the steering wheel controls?

Will it work the CD multi player in the boot?

Code included?

Sorry for all the questions but this head unit could sort out a few annoying problems.

Thank you.

Marcus
The CD100 had a problem as you describe if the perm live feed is connected to the switched live. It looses the live and thus the memory that the code was entered.

Have a look at the ISO connectors and make sure the perm live is present and correct.

Codes for the CD80 and CD100 are easily obtainable with a google search.

What does it do? Does it play CDs or is it just a radio? Does it control a cd changer in the boot or what? Will it connect and work my volume controls on my steering wheel?
I currently have a CR213X radio cassette unit with no code.

Its a radio cassete player and it will run your steering wheel controls and an external CD player.
