Default Sagging headliner

I stupidly left some damp cardboard, destined for the dump, in the back of my Tourer and forgot about it. Now, I assume because of the moisture, the headlining is sagging towards the back. I don't see myself as having the skills or the patience to completely replace the thing, so I'm looking for an unobtrusive repair.

For reasons I don't quite understand, glueing it back in place doesn't seem to be an option, from what I've read on here, so I'm thinking maybe pinning would be the best. Elsewhere I've seen clear-headed twist pins recommended (as opposed to simple dressmaking pins). Has anyone here tried this approach, and if so, how acceptable does it look? Or does anyone have any other worthwhile suggestions?
