I'm late coming to this thread but here goes...
I have one of these adaptors plugged into the glovebox CD changer connector. Mine is a Symphony head unit without navigation. All indications are that the unit is working however I get no sound at the speakers. I do get the successful pairing message on the head unit and the aux power plug on the unit works, just no sound. I have also tried one of the bluetooth adaptors that plugs into the cigarette lighter with the same results. The AM/FM works as normal when the bluetooth is off. Any suggestions?
