My replacement Android is here, Installed, Help???
I got my Android DD today, this one replaced the faulty on i got last year (cheers)ean. any way, all installed and seems so be working ok.
I really can't bring my self to trawl thru that monumental thread. my new unit came with a few differences to the faulty one, i have 2 memory card lots, one says nav and the other is for media. So, what are the sat nav options available. also mine says BMW on boot up, has any one managed to change the start logo |

Mine shows Dynavin on start up on both sides. For Sat Nav I am using Co Pilot (pm Eamonn for this) you can also download the premium version from the market (£25) plus £10/year for TMC. I have not tried the IGO version yet as it got a bit complicated setting it up. Personally I like Google maps but you need a data connection for this, tether your mobile to the unit for internet connection. Better still for downloading connect to a wifi spot if you can. Enjoy as it is a great bit of kit If you have time sit down with a cuppa and read the thread to find out more

You dont need internet to run it. It runs from an app and then you have to download about 260mb of data and away she goes All the data goes on the SD card.

Those files could be held in memory somewhere on the unit..
If you were able to navigate through the folders and insert a JPEG or BMP at the right resolution, maybe you can select that ?.. Just a guess really, I have played with the Androids at all !!
