Default help tourer boot won't open

For some reason neither the boot or boot window can be opened on my tourer. The only way to gain access to the boot is by having a cable tied to the emergency boot release. Also the alarm light keeps flashing on the dash board, even when driving.

I'm assuming that either a sensor has failed or there is a problem with the electrics used to unlock the boot.

Any help appreciated

The micro switches can fail on both boot and window...

Boot:
If the torx bolts haven't rusted to dust its quite an easy part to replace:

How easy is it to get to the micro switches and replace them?
