Default Comfort flasher in MG ZT/Rover 75/

I don't believe it was ever an option from the factory so I'm guessing it's been a modification that's been added

There was a DIY kit available from a member that provided the flasher response you have/had. I'd say the car is fitted with that. If you search for 'lazy indicators' I think you'll find it.

IIRC its just a capacitor in the switch line, it holds onto the charge foe a second and latches the switch closed temporarily.... about 2000uF might do it..

only downside is if you cancel a signal it may still blink for 3 flashes and if you switch from left to right quickly it may flash both for a second...

That's the principle, but all the wrinkles were sorted out as I recall. Anyway it's all in the thread noted for anyone interested.
