The OEM flexi failed on my diesel failed due to excessive movement when the lower engine mount had failed. The replacement flexi was probably a different make to the one you propose to use. I cut the OEM flexi off with an angle grinder leaving as much pipe as I could (about 1/2 inch) on the cat side. The clamps that came with the replacement were OK on the engine side of the flexi but not sturdy enough to clamp the flexi to the bit of pipe left on the cat. It kept coming off with engine movement. I managed to buy a very heavy duty clamp and tightened it so tight that it no longer comes off. I suppose I could have got someone to weld it.

Im thinking of getting a universal stainless back box, so il need a piece of flexi pipe to bridge the gap from the end of the middle section to the end of the new rear box.... I. E. The bendy bit
