interior trim colour
Despite owning the car for 14 years I've only just noticed that the b pillar lower trims are different colours! The drivers side is almost black (same as door cards) and the passenger side is grey (same as door sill, seat base, footwell trim) . All sources I've found appear to suggest ash grey/light smokestone is the correct combination unless personal line trim is fitted, which its not.
Any ideas why this would be? |

As far as I've ever seen, the lower B-pillar interior trims are either ash grey (almost black) or sandstone beige. A Rover could of had either, an MG variant only the ash.
Personal line trim cars would have the trim coloured according to the interior - green, blue or aubergine. Might be worth posting a pic to show the difference ? The door sill, seat base and footwell trims should all match the B-pillar trim.

the car is in the garage at present i'll take pictures when in daylight as the light
isn't great. You're right with what you say about either black(ash grey)or sandstone, thats what i have found and the drivers side matches the door card, dash trim but the passenger side is definitely more grey same as the door sill trim and lower trim in the footwell...if that makes sense. Either way after 14 almost 15 years its not that much of an issue more of a quirk |
