Default Is there anything better than.................

..........opening a new jar of Nescafé?
The aroma when that gold seal breaks has got to be one of the best things ever and, is it just me but, does that first mug of coffee, from a fresh jar, taste better than the rest?

Coffee time!

Even better is the smell of grinding some Blue Mountain coffee beans ready for some 'real' coffee

Thanks Phil

I'm not a coffee person. I drink green tea. I don't even like it but apparently it's good for you.

For the members in my small group, the morning visits by members usually incorporates fresh brewed ground coffee, Dow Egberts on a good day, and usually bacon or sausage banjo's, known by the forces guys!
At meetings, a BBQ.
Late afternoon visits usually pizza or something quick.
But on any occasion, either of the two coffee machines are at it until late evenings, then tea pots are in action.
Instant coffee is used here, and would say that the day the coffee is un sealed provides the better taste, and gradually it loses it's qualities. The answer to retaining it's quality ? Buy a smaller jar, keep the lid off as little as possible and after opening maybe store in a dark place.

The best smell comes from a good old petrol engine after a right good thrashing. Oh and not from John Cleese.
