Sony Dab Radio / Lost Aux Channel?
Sony CDX-DAB6650
Recently had a battery disconnected and my Sony DAB radio (CDX-DAB6650) previously (last 3 years), had 3 input Sources, FM, DAB and Aux. I remember when retuning it on one of the seemingly endless menu's I turned 'AUX' to off. Now I can't get the Harmon Kardon ipod sender to play digitally, (after several hours of trying), only via the FM frequency, which is diabolical, The HK is directly connected into the back of the Sony via the Aux in port. Why are modern things so complicated to understand, and the Nippon/Sino instruction books so appallingly written in the 21st century? The manual really is vague, all I can find is; "Auxiliary audio equipment" "You can connect optional Sony portable devices to the AUX IN terminal on the unit. Selecting auxiliary equipment 1Press (SOURCE) repeatedly until “AUX” appears." "Operate by the portable device itself display of the unit." "Should this occur, the unit will not operate properly." "In such a case, remove the disc and wait for about an hour until the moisture has evaporated." "To maintain high sound quality Be careful not to splash juice or other soft drinks onto the unit or discs."! - (VERY HELPFUL WHAT) In reality all that happens when you repeatedly press source is the display DAB or FM shows up nothing else? Any ideas please? Martin Last edited by Martin75; 3rd May 2011 at 18:02.. |
