Yes, manufacturer quoted figures are bhp i.e. power at the crank.

BHP is brake horsepower, and is before any losses like the drive train occur.

I seem to recall that John.com got a rolling road readout of 75+ BHP. And his car was real high mileage one at almost 200K.... ???

BHP can be at the crank or at the wheels. What the manufacturers will tell you is what is at the crank because it sounds better. What you want to know is what is at the wheels because thats what is hitting the road.
The drive train will soak alot up.Auto soak abit more than manuals. But when you get into real bhp autos are that bit stronger and handle the power. But thats for big block V8s.

That will 100% be flywheel (crank) bhp figure.

You can make a rolling road show any figure you want tbh. Changing things like the ambient temperature input (putting the probe near a hot source) will then allow the computer to produce an inflated (corrected) flywheel figure.

Not even that. It's a bench figure. ALL car outputs now-a-days are bench figures - no loading, brand new out the box, ultimate performance (oh we don't like the read outs on that one, try another). If the performance figure quoted in a brochure is 130bhp, it's documented and proved. The other 9 engines that went through, will be between 100-125. Why would you think otherwise?

I'm talking about Jacks results, not the from factory figure, which as you rightly say, could be anything lol
